These Terms of Service govern your use of BookPromo, including the web application at app.bookpromoapp.com and the BookPromo Chrome extension. By purchasing access or using BookPromo, you agree to these terms.
1. Who We Are
BookPromo is a product of Asselin Group Online Publisher, operated by Barb Asselin. If you have questions about these terms, contact us at bookpromo@asselingroup.com.
2. Your Account
To use BookPromo, you must purchase access through bookpromoapp.com and sign in using the email address associated with your purchase. You are responsible for keeping your email address current and for any activity that occurs under your account.
Your account is personal and non-transferable. You may not share your access with others or use BookPromo on behalf of multiple users under a single account.
3. Subscription and Billing
BookPromo is available on a monthly or annual subscription basis.
- Monthly subscriptions are billed each month on the date of your original purchase. You may cancel at any time and your access will continue until the end of the current billing period.
- Annual subscriptions are billed once per year. You will have access for the full year you have paid for. Annual subscriptions are non-refundable once the billing period has started.
- Price changes: Subscription prices may increase over time. Your rate is locked in for as long as your subscription remains active and uninterrupted.
4. Refunds
Monthly subscriptions may be cancelled at any time. We do not offer refunds for partial months already billed.
Annual subscriptions are non-refundable. If you have a concern about your purchase, please contact us at bookpromo@asselingroup.com and we will do our best to help.
5. What BookPromo Does
BookPromo is a planning and organizational tool for self-published authors. It allows you to:
- Import book information from publicly available Amazon product pages
- Plan and track book promotions on a calendar
- Generate marketing content using AI
- Maintain a directory of book promotion sites
Important: BookPromo is a planning and tracking tool only. It does not submit promotions to Amazon, BookBub, or any other promotional site on your behalf. You are responsible for visiting each promotional site directly, meeting their submission requirements, and setting up your own promotions according to their individual processes. BookPromo helps you plan, organize, budget, and keep track of those promotions. The actual submission and setup happens outside the app.
BookPromo does not guarantee any specific results from book promotions planned using the app. Promotional outcomes depend on many factors outside our control, including market conditions, reader preferences, and the quality of your book and marketing materials.
6. The Chrome Extension
The BookPromo Chrome extension reads publicly available information from Amazon book pages. It does not collect personal data, track your browsing, or access any information beyond the book page you are actively viewing. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree to use BookPromo only for its intended purpose — planning and managing book promotions for books you own or have the right to promote. You may not use BookPromo to:
- Violate any applicable law or regulation
- Infringe on the intellectual property rights of others
- Attempt to reverse engineer, copy, or redistribute the BookPromo app or extension
- Share your account access with others
8. Availability and Changes
We aim to keep BookPromo available and running smoothly, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. We may update, improve, or change features of BookPromo at any time. We will do our best to communicate significant changes in advance.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for accounts that violate these terms.
9. Intellectual Property
BookPromo, including the web app, Chrome extension, and all associated content, is owned by Asselin Group Online Publisher. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of BookPromo without written permission.
Content you create using BookPromo — including your book data, promotion plans, and drafted marketing copy — belongs to you.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
BookPromo is provided as-is. We make no warranties, express or implied, about the accuracy, reliability, or fitness of BookPromo for any particular purpose. The promo site directory is reviewed quarterly but we cannot guarantee that all information is current at all times.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Asselin Group Online Publisher shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of BookPromo, including lost revenue or promotional results.
12. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved in the courts of Ontario.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of BookPromo after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
